The most bizarre encounter happened yesterday afternoon. A lady came into the tea house and exclaimed how absolutely freezing she was. She was out on Main Street with her husband and camera-man and decided that it was time to get inside and warm up. Uhh.. you're camera-man? She introduced herself as the lady from Global News who does features on tourism and travel. She also writes articles for the same topics for the Sun and Province. Who knew. So uhh... you're in Fernie why?
I can't quite remember her explanation, but she spent the longest time talking with my parents. Once she found out that we were from Vancouver, she pretty much flipped. Getting our whole story, she then went on to get some pictures of us and the place, promising to save a little special spot for the tea house.
Crazy.
